Chapter 19

Revelation 19:1 "And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: 2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. 3 And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever. 4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. 5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. 6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth."

Four Hallelujahs

19:1 - Alleluia is spelled Hallelujah in America and means "Praise ye Jehovah". This may also indicate that the language in heaven will be Hebrew.

19:2 - Cross references: Deut. 28:63; 32:35,41-43; Jeremiah 51:43

19:3 - Comparing the smoke rising up forever here and Revelation 14:11 shows that Rome is connected with Satan and the Antichrist.

19:4 - This verse shows that the scene is in the third heaven. Cross reference: Revelation 4:1-5

19:5 - The phrase "our God" is a Jewish designation (Acts 2:39). All ye his servants match Revelation 6:11, 11:18.

19:6 - Omnipotent means all powerful or complete power. God is also omniscient(all knowing) and omnipresent(everywhere). At this point God takes over the government.

Revelation 19:7 "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. 10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

The Marriage Supper of the Lamb

19:7 - The Marriage of the Lamb takes place after the Judgment Seat of Christ, which is indicated because the Bride has made herself reading meaning she might of had some spots or wrinkles before the Judgment Seat of Christ (Ephesians 5:26-27). The Marriage takes place on the earth during the Second Advent. The Bride is the Church Age Saints. Cross references: Luke 22:16, Matthew 22:2

19:8 - The fine linen shows the Bride's own righteous, which is earned after salvation for the Church Age Saint. This is why Christians should live for the Lord after salvation (Revelation 3:17-18, 1 John 2:28). Cross references: Zechariah 3:4-5, Revelation 6:11, Psalms 45:13

19:9 - Notice that the scriptures are the true sayings of God and not opinions, symbolic or figurative (Revelation 21:5, 22:6, Proverbs 8:8-9, 14:6, Luke 10:21, Psalms 62:9, Isaiah 28:9-13, 29:10-14).

19:10 - This shows that we are to only worship God, not saints, angels or idols. The testimony of Jesus is the ability to tell the future like a Christian knows where he is going when he dies. Mohammed was not a true prophet because he rejected Jesus Christ.

Second Advent

Revelation 19:11" And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."

19:11 - This is the second time heaven opens since Revelation 4:1-3. This also indicates the end of the Tribulation. The white horse is a supernatural horse. Animals do not go to heaven, nor hell (Eccl. 3:21). Examples of supernatural horses are found in 2 Kings 2:11-12 and 2 Kings 6:17. The rider is no doubt, Jesus Christ. Cross reference: Habakkuk 3:15

19:12 - The rider is Jesus Christ, who has many crowns, unlike the rider in Revelation 6.

19:13 - The blood on His vesture is from the blood of his enemies (Revelation 14:20, Isaiah 63:1-5, Psalms 68:23). Cross references: Psalms 138:2, John 1:14

19:14 - The army is the Church (Revelation 19:8, Song of Solomon 6:10). Cross references: Zechariah 14:3, Joel 2:11

19:15 - The sword is found in Isaiah 34:5 and is the word of God. In the Second Advent, Jesus Christ will be a Military Dictator ruling with a rod of iron (Revelation 2:27, Psalms 2:9). The winepress is found in Revelation 14:20. Cross reference: Isaiah 63:1-6

19:16 - Unlike Nebuchadnezzar, Jesus is THE King of Kings, instead of just "a" king of kings (Ezekiel 26:7). The name is written on his vesture and on the bottom part of his vesture.

Revelation 19:17 "And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; 18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. 19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. 20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh."

Destruction of all earthly government

19:17-18 - The birds eat the remains of the enemies of Jesus Christ(Luke 17:37, Matthew 24:28). Keep in mind that unclean birds represent devils (Matthew 13, Revelation 18). Something similar happens in Ezekiel 39:1-22. Popular expression: "Strictly for the birds" Cross references for verse 18: Job 39:19, Proverbs 30:17

19:19 - Cross references: Revelation 17:13-14, 16:12-16, 9:15-17, Judges 5:19-22, 2 Thess. 1:7-9

19:20 - The Beast and False Prophet almost always appear together (Revelation 20:10). The False Prophet is the second beast in Revelation 13:11. The battle will be over in a short period of time. The Lake of Fire that burns forever is the Second Death (Revelation 20:14-15). There is no annihilation in the Lake of Fire (Matthew 10:28).

19:21 - All Jesus has to do is speak and his enemies are destroyed (Proverbs 12:18, Hebrews 4:12, Zechariah 14:3,12). This will be one of the bloodiest wars ever to take place.

Chapter 18

Revelation 18:1 "And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. 4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. 6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double."

Final Destruction of Babylon

18:1-2 - Devils are connected with unclean birds(Matthew 13:31-32). The Holy Spirit is like a clean bird, dove (Matthew 3).

18:3-4 - "My people" is the Jews(Jeremiah 51:5-7) during the Tribulation being said to come out of Rome. The spiritual application could be that the Christian needs to come out of the Roman Catholic Church.

18:5-6 - God's vengeance is coming upon the Catholic church. Compare this verse with Revelation 17:4.

Revelation 18:7 "How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. 8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. 9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, 10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come. 11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more: 12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble, 13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men. 14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all. 15 The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, 16 And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! 17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off, 18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city! 19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate."

Entrepreneurs Lament

18:7-14 - The fruits that Rome lusts after begins with gold (Revelation 18:12) and ends with the souls of men (Revelation 18:12). The Roman Catholic church makes a lot of money today through goods and holidays, but they never soul win.

18:15-19 - Rome's allies will lament. Rome's allies are Spain, Mexico, Italy, NATO, United Nations, etc. They are upset because the commercial system is shot.

Revelation 18:20 "Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her. 21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. 22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; 23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. 24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth."

Heaven rejoices over Babylon's destruction

18:20-24 - A cross reference for verse 20 is Revelation 19:1-6. Compare the word craft in verse 22 with the Antichrist and craft in Daniel 8:25 and Acts 19:24-25. Cross references: Daniel 11:43, Jeremiah 50:28

Chapter 17

Revelation 17:1 "And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: 2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. 3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. 6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. 7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. 8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. 9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. 10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. 11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. 12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. 13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. 14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. 15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. 16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. 18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth."

The Great Whore

17:1-2 - The Great Whore is the Roman Catholic Church. Cross references: 1 John 2:15, Jeremiah 5:17

17:3-7 - The Beast with the seven heads and horns matches the one in Revelation 12. Verse 3 shows a symbol of the European Union and the Catholic Church (Leviticus 18:23). Purple and scarlet match the Roman Catholic Church. The Catholic church is political. The Pope's have had mass with a Golden Cup throughout history. The Catholic church is responsible for the killing of Christians throughout the history of the Church age (v6). There is no doubt that the Catholic church is Satanic.

17:8-9 - This shows Satan the Dragon being manifested into a man, who is Judas Iscariot. Cross reference: Isaiah 7:10-15

17:10-11 - The Beast that was is a man (Revelation 13:18). This man will come from the bottomless pit/perdition(Revelation 11:7). This man is Judas Iscariot who is from Kerioth. The sixth head on the Dragon is the Antichrist and typified in history by Alexander the Great. In the Tribulation, the Antichrist will be the eighth king after the Rome Empire is complete under the Roman Catholic church (Daniel 2).

17:12 - The ten horns represent kings (Daniel 2). These may not be called kings, but receive power as kings.

17:13-14 - In the Tribulation the Roman Catholic church will have revived the Roman Empire. The Lamb is Jesus Christ. The ten kings will be demonic fallen angels. The Devil will come down into the Roman Catholic Pope's body, who will be the Antichrist and also Judas will come up from perdition into the Pope's body.

17:15 - Remember that the first natural birth is by water (John 3:3-6).

17:16- The ten demonic kings are cannibals. These verses show that the Antichrist will have power over the 10 kings and turn against the Whore, which is the Roman Catholic Church and destroy her. The Whore will be burnt with fire.

17:17 - "Their" is the ten kings. The ten kings will get together with the Antichrist. The kingdom is the ten-king federation kingdom.

17:18 - Cites are also likened unto women in Joshua 17:11. This city is Rome with the Roman Catholic Church being the Great Whore.

Chapter 16

Revelation 16:1 "And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. 2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image. 3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea. 4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood. 5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus. 6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy. 7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments. 8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. 9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. 10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, 11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds."

The vials of the wrath of God on earth

16:1 - This starts the vials of the wrath of God being poured out on the earth towards the end of the Tribulation. This wrath is the result of people rejecting God's Son.

16:2 - Again these events take place at the last half of the Tribulation because it is not until the last half that the image of the beast shows up. Noisome means malignant or grievous. The black spot turns into a white spot like leprosy (Leviticus 13:13, 53). This is not for certain, but some believe that the ones who take the Mark of the Beast can be saved by getting baptized by Moses and Elijah (Acts 2:38, 2 Kings 5:1, 1 Peter 3:21).

16:3 - This happens under the preaching of Moses (Revelation 11:6). Animals have souls, but not like men's souls. An animal's soul is stuck to it's body and when the body dies, the soul dies also without going to heaven or hell (Numbers 31:28). The souls in this verse may refer to both animals and humans. Cross references: Genesis 19:20, Leviticus 22:6, Revelation 8:8-9

16:4 - The water becomes blood.

16:5-6 - These verses show God's judgment on those who killed his saints. In Revelation 17, you see a woman drinking blood even though it is forbidden in every dispensation. The Catholic church professes to drink Christ's blood every Mass.

16:7-8 - This is during the end of the Tribulation when the sun gets brighter. In the Millennium after the Tribulation, the sun will become seven times brighter (Isaiah 30:26).

16:9 - The people being burnt by the sun do not get right instead they blaspheme the name of God.

16:10 - This also happened in Exodus 10:20-23. The seat of the beast is where the beast sits at Rome (Revelation 2:13).

16:11 - This shows the strength of the will of man to reject God even after all the plagues.

Revelation 16:12 "And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. 15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. 16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon."

Battle of Armageddon

16:12 - This also happens in Revelation 9:13-16 indicating that maybe the vials and trumpets are simultaneous and begin in the middle of the Tribulation. The number of these men coming from the East are given in Revelation 9:16 as 200 million. The men may be the souls of the unsaved dead coming out of hell. The troops come from China, Russia, India, Japan and etc.

16:13 - The Holy Spirit is like a dove(Matthew 13) and the unclean spirit is like a frog. These spirits are used to deceive (2 Thes. 2:9). Cross reference: Numbers 22:41

16:14 - This shows that unclean spirits can do miracles, such as heal, speak in tongues and raise the dead (Revelation 13:3,14). The day of the Lord is also talked about in Isaiah 2:12, 13:6,9, Jeremiah 46:10, Ezekiel 13:5, 30:3, Joel 1:15, 2:1,11,31, 3:14, Amos 5:18,20, Obadiah 15, Zeph. 1:7,14, 2:2-3, Zechariah 14:1, Malachi 4:5.

16:15 - This show faith is connected with works during the Tribulation(Revelation 6:11, 7:14, 12:11, 14:12) and also shows a Tribulation Rapture (Matthew 24:29-31, 43, 50, Psalms 50:3-5, Isaiah 26:12-21). Cross reference: Joel 2:9

16:16 - Armageddon means the hill of the crowded. This is speaking of the Second Coming of Christ. Cross references: Judges 5:19, 2 Kings 23:29-30, 2 Chronicles 35:22, Zechariah 12:11

Revelation 16:17 "And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. 18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. 19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. 20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. 21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great."

The seventh vial of God's wrath

16:17-18 - A great earthquake happens that beats all earthquakes in history. This is also mentioned in Isaiah 24:1-23.

16:19 - Babylon will be destroyed in Revelation 18:2. Revelation 17-18 is the description of this verse and this happens before the Second Advent.

16:20-21 - Hailstones that are about 80 pounds each fall down to the earth. Hail is also found in Joshua 10:8-13, showing Joshua being a picture of the Second Coming. Compare the last of verse 21 with Psalms 18:13, Leviticus 24:16, Revelation 11:19 and 2 Peter 3:9. Notice that man still does not get right with God after all these plagues.

Chapter 15

Revelation 15:1 "And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. 2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. 3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. 4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest. 5 And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened: 6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles. 7 And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever. 8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled."

Fourth and final account of the Tribulation

15:1 - The Tribulation saints are probably gone when these events take place. The Beast starts to give his Mark in the Middle of the Tribulation (Revelation 13). The vials are poured out at the last half of the Tribulation.

15:2 - This verses shows that there is a Tribulation Rapture. These people match the ones in Revelation 14:2-3, 4:6 and 7:13-15. This event takes place before the Second Advent. The sea of glass is talked about in Job 37:10,18, 38:30 and Revelation 4:6.

15:3 - The song of Moses is mentioned in Deut. 32:1-44. This shows that Deut. 32 was not fulfilled at the First Coming, so it will be fulfilled in the Second Coming. This verse shows a faith and works set up in the Tribulation because of the songs mentioned, the song of Moses(law) and the Lamb(faith). Jesus Christ is the head of the Body of Christ, but will not be King until the Second Advent.

15:4 - This is a reference to the Second Advent. Cross references: Zechariah 14:16-17, Isaiah 2:1-4, 60:14, 62:7, Micah 4:1-2, Ezekiel 48:35, Jeremiah 3:17, Psalms 2:6-12, 66:4, 72:11, 86:9, 110:2, 96, 97

15:5-8 - The temple is found in heaven (Revelation 14:17, 11:19, 8:3-5). These last plagues will fall on those who reject Jesus Christ towards the end of the Tribulation.

Chapter 14

Revelation 14:1 "And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: 3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. 4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. 5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God."

The 144,000 Jews in the third heaven

14:1 - The context is the last 3 1/2 years of the Tribulation. The scene is in the third heaven. Mount Sion is a heavenly city (Hebrews 12:22, Psalms 48:2). The Lamb represents Christ. Cross references: Revelation 7:3-4

14:2 - Music is used in heaven to give glory to God (Revelation 15:2-3).

14:3 - This song is the song of Moses in Revelation 15:3, 9 and they also sing the song of the Lamb showing a faith and works situation in the Tribulation.

14:4-5 - The 144,000 are single men who are physically and spiritually virgins (Matthew 25:1). Cross reference: 1 Corinthians 15:23

Revelation 14:6 "And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters."

Everlasting Gospel

14:6-7 - This angel preaches a gospel that is not like Paul's faith alone gospel. This is a gospel to the Gentiles in the Tribulation that deals with works and fearing God. Cross reference: Acts 14:15, 17:24-27

Revelation 14:8 "And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. 9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus."

Tribulation: Faith and Works

14:8 - This verse goes with Revelation 17.

14:9-10 - This shows that during the Tribulation, salvation is by faith and works. The Tribulation saint has to endure to the end and not take the Mark of the Beast (Matthew 24:13).

14:11-12 - Worship in verse 11 is connected with a kiss (Psalms 2:12, 1 Kings 19:18, Hosea 13:2, Matthew 25:48-49, 2 Samuel 15:5). Verse 12 shows faith and works by saying they have to keep the Commandments like in the Old Testament. Hell is eternal torment with fire. Cross references: Isaiah 34:10, Revelation 12:17, 22:14

Revelation 14:13 "And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. 14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. 16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. 17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. 18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. 19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs."

Third account of the ending of the Tribulation period

14:13 - The Tribulation saints will be rewarded at the Great White Throne Judgment (Revelation 11:18). Cross references: Hebrew 6:12, Matthew 24:13

14:14 - This is speaking of Jesus Christ before the Second Advent (Revelation 10:1). This verse to verse 16 shows a Rapture in the Tribulation.

14:15-16 - Sometime before the Tribulation ends, Jesus will make an appearance. Cross references: James 5:7, Isaiah 17:5-6, Matthew 13:39-43

14:17-18 - Cross references: Matthew 13 and Deut. 32:32

14:19 - The vine of the earth is found in Deut. 32:31-32, which shows the Roman Catholic church. This shows God's wrath in the Second Advent (Revelation 19:13-15). Cross reference: Revelation 6:14-16

14:20 - This takes place outside of Jerusalem. Again God's wrath is shown (Nahum 1:2-6, Joel 1:15). Verses 17-20 deal with the Second Advent of Jesus Christ (Isaiah 63:1-2, Revelation 9:14, Psalms 68:23).

Chapter 13

Revelation 13:1 "And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. 4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months."

Satanic Trinity

13:1 - The beast represents a king and a kingdom (Daniel 7, Revelation 17:10-11). The beast in Daniel 7:7 is the beast talked about here. The speaker in this verse is John and the sea mentioned is the Mediterranean sea. The beast represents the man in Revelation 13:18 and is Satan in the flesh (Revelation 12:3, 2 Thes. 2:3-9). This chapter also shows the Unholy Trinity: Dragon(Father), Beast(Son) and False Prophet(Holy Spirit)

13:2 - The beast is like a leopard with spots (Jeremiah 13:23). This shows that he is integrated. The yellow represents the Asiatic race, white is European and black is African. This means the Antichrist will be a Roman Catholic Hamite Syrian Jew. All three animals are said to mark X's in trees. The leopard represent America showing integration. The lion shows that the universal language will be English (Daniel 7:4). The bear represents Russia and shows that the beast will be Communist (Daniel 7:5).

13:3 - The wounded head represents a nation that was cut off and going to be restored. Cross references: Ezekiel 30:24, Zechariah 11:17, 2 Thes. 2:7

13:4 - The Greek word for worship here is kiss (Revelation 9:20, 1 Kings 19:18, Luke 22:48).

13:5 - The Antichrist's ministry will be 3 1/2 years, just like Jesus' ministry.

Revelation 13:6 "And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. 8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. 9 If any man have an ear, let him hear. 10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints."

The Antichrist will be a military dictator on the earth

13:6-10 - Cross references: Daniel 7:21-35. Verse 7 shows a one world government. Verse 8 shows a book of life connected with the Tribulation (Psalms 109:13).

Revelation 13:11 "And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,"

False Prophet

13:11 - This is the False Prophet (Revelation 16:13, 19:20, 20:10, Matthew 24:24).

13:12-13 - The Devil is able to do miracles (Revelation 16:13-14). The Antichrist will be connected with idols and will be an idol shepherd (Zechariah 11:17).

Revelation 13:14 "And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. 15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."

Satanic deception on earth

13:14-15 - Satan will deceive man into thinking that he is God. God allows Satan to give counterfeit life.

13:16 - This shows that there are still slaves in the Tribulation. The Mark of the Beast will be given in the right hand or forehead. The Mark is connected with leprosy(leopard) (Leviticus 13:13)

13:17 - In the Tribulation, people will have to have the Mark to buy, sell or eat.

13:18 - The Beast will be Judas Iscariot when is he resurrected(John 6:66). Cross references: Ezra 2:13, 2 Chronicles 9:13. The Pope has "VICARIVS FILII DEI" in his hat, which means faithful vicar of God and in Latin equals 666 when added up.

Chapter 12

Revelation 12:1 "And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: 2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. 3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. 4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. 5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. 6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. 7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

Israel in the Tribulation

12:1 - The woman is Israel (Genesis 37:9-10, Hosea 2:14-15, Deut. 32:9-11).

12:2 - The man child could be Jesus (Hebrews 2:16, Galatians 3:16, Romans 1:3). If so, one would need to have time period separations between verses 5 and 6. The man child could also be the 144,000 Jews in the Tribulation (Lamentations 4:20, Genesis 17:10).

12:3 - The Dragon is the Devil (Revelation 12:9, Job 41:1, Psalms 74:14, Isaiah 27:1). Red symbolizes blood and death. (Seven heads: 1. Nimrod-Babylon 2. Pharaoh-Egypt 3. Sennacherib-Assyria 4. Nebuchadnezzar-Babylon 5. Darius-Persia 6. Unnamed 7. Rome) The seven heads represent seven kings or kingdoms used by Satan to control the earth. Ten is the Gentile nations.

12:4 - The stars are fallen angels. Cross reference: Isaiah 9:15

12:5 - Cross references: Psalms 2:9, Revelation 2:27, 19:15

12:6 - The man child may have not been Jesus Christ, but someone in the Tribulation that is not identified (Genesis 17:9-14, 1 Samuel 1:11, Job 3:3, Isaiah 66:7). Cross reference: Revelation 12:14

12:7 - This is a future war in heaven.

12:8-9 - Satan loses and gets cast down to the earth along with his angels during the Tribulation.

Revelation 12:10 "And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time."

Satan's dominion is restricted to the earth

12:10 - Satan is called the accuser of the saved. Job 1-2

12:11 - Notice "the death" which is certain type of death in the Tribulation.

12:12 - The Devil comes to the earth during the Tribulation for 3 1/2 years at the end of Tribulation.

Revelation 12:13 "And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. 14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. 15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. 16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. 17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."

Satanic Anti-Semitism

12:13-14 - Cross references: Psalms 55:6, Micah 7:14, Job 38:23

12:15 - Cross reference: Jeremiah 47:2, Daniel 9:26

12:16-17 - Mosaic law is in effect during the Tribulation meaning salvation then will be by faith and works (Micah 4:2, Revelation 14:12, 15:3, 22:14).

Chapter 11

Revelation 11:1 "And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. 2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. 3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. 4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. 5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. 6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will."

Second coming of Moses and Elijah

11:1 - This chapter is the greatest chapter for opening the scriptures because it opens the book of Revelation which opens the Old Testament and the Old Testament opens the New Testament. The rod is used for measuring the temple that is on the earth.

11:2 - This is a literal city and also shows that temple worship comes back (Matthew 24:15, Hebrews 9:3, 2 Thes. 2:4). Forty two months = 3 1/2 years. Cross references are Luke 21:24 and Romans 11:25.

11:3 - The last of the Tribulation will be 3 1/2 years. The speaker is angel in 10:1,9,11. The two witness are Moses and Elijah. They are the last two men mentioned in the Old Testament (Malachi 4:5). Both appear with Christ on the Mount of Transfiguration (Matthew 16:28, 17:5, 2 Peter 1:16-18). Both destroyed people with fire (Numbers 16:28-35, 2 Kings 1:10-14). Moses turned water to blood and called down plagues (Exodus 7:20, Exodus 8-10). Elijah stopped rain for 3 1/2 years (James 5:17). Both stood before God on the earth (Exodus 33:20-23, 1 Kings 17:1).

11:4 - Cross references: Zechariah 4:2-3,11-14.

11:5 - This verse proves that the two witness cannot be any books like the Book of Mormon or Apocrypha since they can be burned and do not breath fire.

11:6 - Cross references: James 5:17, 1 Kings 17:1, Exodus 33:20-21, Numbers 16:31-35, 2 Kings 1:10

Revelation 11:7 "And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. 8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. 9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. 10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. 11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. 12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. 13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven."

Moses and Elijah get killed and ascend

11:7 - The Beast is a king that is a man that comes out of the bottomless pit (Revelation 13:18, Daniel 7:17). He is Judas Iscariot, who is the son of perdition that was on the earth before John wrote, is in the bottomless pit now and comes up in the Tribulation. Judas was also called a devil and went to "his own place". (Revelation 9:11, 2 Thes. 2:3, Revelation 17:8, John 17:12, Zechariah 11:12-17, John 6:70-71, Acts 1:24-25) Cross reference: Daniel 11:33-35

11:8-9 - It says dead "bodies" because their heads were cut off (Revelation 20:4). The city is Jerusalem because Revelation 11:2 and 20:9 calls it the holy city and beloved city. It is called Sodom and Egypt because the Antichrist may be a homosexual over the United Nations that rules the world. Egypt is a type of the world and was ruled by a type of the Antichrist. (Daniel 11:37, 2 Thes. 2:4, Ezekiel 29:3) Also notice that it says all those people see it happen. This can happen now because of TV.

11:10 - The Spirit of life is the Holy Spirit. The merry-making and gift-giving may indicate that this is Christmas(Christ Mass), the Pagan Catholic holiday. It is not for sure though. Check out Jeremiah 10:1-5. Jesus was born near the Feast of Tabernacles, which is near September 23, not December 25.

11:11 - Moses and Elijah come back alive and the people that see are afraid because they see their heads pop back on their bodies.

11:12- This is the visible Rapture for the Tribulation saints towards the end of the Tribulation with Moses and Elijah (Hebrews 9:28, 12:14, Revelation 14:16, Matthew 24).

11:13 - Some saved people are still in the Tribulation because they get saved after the Tribulation Rapture (Matthew 25:1-10). Remember that salvation in the Tribulation is by faith and works.

Revelation 11:14 "The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly. 15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. 16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, 17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. 18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. 19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail."

Second account of the end of the Tribulation

11:14-15 - This is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ after the Tribulation. Right now the Devil is the god of this world (2 Cor. 4:4). The kingdoms are a reference to the United Nations (Isaiah 60:12, Daniel 2:44, Micah 4:8, Zephaniah 3:8, Zechariah 14:9).

11:16-17 - This is in Eternity past the Millennium. Notice the Trinity pictured again in verse 17.

11:18 - The angry nations is a reference to Revelation 20:8-9, where the nations try to wipe out Jerusalem for the last time. The dead being judged is in Revelation 20:11-12. The saved saints that are judged at the White Throne are the Tribulation and Millennium saints (Job 19:25-267, Daniel 7:18-22, Revelation 14:6-7, Revelation 3:5, Revelation 22:19). Notice that works are connected with the Tribulation and Millennium saints, unlike the Church Age saints that are saved by faith alone.

11:19 - This verse takes you back to verse 15 towards the end of the Tribulation (Revelation 6:12-14, 16:21). Notice the Ark is in heaven showing that it had been Raptured up there.

Chapter 10

Revelation 10:1 "And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: 2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth, 3 And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. 4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. 5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, 6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: 7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets."

The little book and the seven thunders (parenthetical chapter)

10:1 - This mighty angel is Jesus Christ (Revelation 1:7,14-15, Acts 1:9).

10:2-3 - This is Jesus because He is the Lion of the tribe of Juda (Revelation 5:5). Sometime in the Tribulation, Jesus Christ will make an appearance to Israel (Ezekiel 43:2, Psalms 50:2).

10:4 - Cross references: Isaiah 58:1 and Psalms 29

10:5 - This is probably Jesus with one foot on the Mediterranean Sea and Palestine.

10:6-7 - When the seventh angel sounds, things will end. Notice the Bible teaches Creationism, not Evolution. A cross reference for verse 7 is Revelation 11:15.

Revelation 10:8 "And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth. 9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. 10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. 11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings."

John the Apostle eats God's word

10:8 - This matches the events in Matthew 3:16-17 that shows the Trinity.

10:9 - This book is unidentified, but can be spiritually said to be the Bible (Ezekiel 2:9, 3:3).

10:10-11 - This book may be the word of God (Amos 3:8, Psalms 119:103. The Bible can be bitter because it makes you to be peculiar, separated and different from the rest of the world. If one stands on the Bible, he will probably be hated and persecuted (2 Tim. 3:12).

Chapter 9

Revelation 9:1 "And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. 3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. 5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. 6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. 7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. 8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. 9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. 10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. 11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon."

Mutants from the bottomless pit.

9:1 - The star is an angel because it is called "him" (Revelation 1:20). The bottomless pit is hell which is in the center of the earth. It is bottomless because it is a circle.

9:2-3 - These are supernatural locusts because they are not stifled by smoke and they have a king over them (Revelation 9:11, Proverbs 30:27).

9:4 - The locusts hurt everyone but the 144,000 that have the seal on their foreheads.

9:5-6 - Keep in mind that the number five usually stands for death(Genes 5:1, Acts 5:5, Ephesians 5:25). These people wanted to die, but could not die. The Devil is the FIFTH Cherub and has power of death (Hebrew 2:14). A cross reference for verse 6 is Job 3:21.

9:7-10 - These monsters that come from the bottomless pit are half human and half beast (Isaiah 28, Revelation 6).

9:11 - The king is probably the star in Revelation 9:1. The names Abaddon and Apollyon mean perdition. Judas is identified as the son of perdition (2 Thes. 2:3, John 17:12, Revelation 17).

Revelation 9:12 "One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter. 13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. 15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. 16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them. 17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. 18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths. 19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt. 20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: 21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts."

The United Nation's end time army.

9:12-15 - These events are near the end of the Tribulation. According to Revelation 6:8 already a fourth part of the earth has been killed. A third of the three quarters is now killed by these satanic horsemen that come from the east (Revelation 16:12-16).

9:16 - There will be 200 million satanic horsemen.

9:17 - These horsemen will be breathing fire, smoke and brimstone(like sulfuric acid or burning sulfur). The horsemen are souls from hell that are half men and half horse. Cross references: Isaiah 5:26 and Psalms 57:4.

9:18 - A third of the final three quarters are now killed. Cross reference: Isaiah 24:6

9:19 - Again these are satanic horsemen coming to wipe out Israel.

9:20 - Despite everything that is happening these men still worshipped idols.

9:21 - In Greek, sorcery means pharmacy, which is connected with drugs. This indicates that there will probably be a drug problem in this time.

Chapter 8

Revelation 8:1 "And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. 2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets. 3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. 5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake. 6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. 7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. 8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; 9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. 10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; 11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. 12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. 13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!"

The whole chapter shows God destroying the world.

8:1 - This starts the second account of the Tribulation with the trumpets (Revelation 8-11). This verse proves that there are no women in heaven (Joke).

8:2-3 - These verses show that there is a temple in the third heaven (Revelation 7:15,17, 11:19). This temple is probably like the one God gave Moses directions to build on earth (Hebrews 8:5). When Eternity begins, New Jerusalem will not have a temple in it (Revelation 21:22). The golden altar is an altar of incense (Hebrews 9:4, Exodus 37:25-28). Cross references for verse 2 are Revelation 10:7 and 11:15. Cross references for verse 3 are Psalms 141:2 and Luke 1:9-10(type of prayers of the saints).

8:4-5 - The fire comes from either the golden (inside) or brazen altar (the altar outside). The souls martyred in the Tribulation in Revelation 6:9-10 will now get their prayers answered and get vengeance.

8:6-7 - In this plague, plants are destroyed with hail and fire with blood. The cross reference for verse 7 is Ezekiel 32:6.

8:8-9 - The sea mentioned is probably the Mediterranean sea and is mentioned again in Revelation 13:1. Cross reference for verse 8 are Jeremiah 51:25 and Revelation 16:3-6.

8:10-11 - The cross reference is found in Jeremiah 9:15 and 51:25. The waters become bitter and make people die from drinking it. The Tribulation saints will have the Apostolic signs and not die (Mark 16:17-18). Also, temple worship, sacrifice, water baptism for the Holy Spirit and observing the Sabbath come back in the Tribulation (Matthew 24:15,20, Joel 2, Acts 2:17-18).

8:12-13 - Cross references are Joel 2:10, Amos 8:9, Revelation 6:12.

Chapter 7

Revelation 7:1 "And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads."

Second account of the Great Tribulation (parenthetical chapter)

7:1 - The four corners is an idiomatic expression for the directions, north, south, east and west. The Bible teaches that the Earth is round (Luke 17:34, Isaiah 40:22). Cross reference: Daniel 7:2

7:2-3 - This is before the seals were opened. The cross references for verse 3 are Revelation 6:3, 8:7 and Ezekiel 9:4-8.

Revelation 7:4 "And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. 5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. 6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. 7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. 8 Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand."

The literal 144,000 Jewish saints in the Tribulation.

7:4 - These are not the JW's, rather Jewish Jews, the tribes of Israel. The phrase "servants of our God" always refers to Israel (Isaiah 61:6). The 144,000 Jews are marked in their forehead with the name of Jehovah (Ezekiel 9:1-8, Deut. 32:5, Isaiah 49:6).

7:5-8 - In verse 8, the tribe of Joseph replaces the tribe of Ephraim. In verse 7, the priestly tribe of Levi becomes a normal tribe to replace Dan. The JW's claim they are from Ephraim, but this tribe has been blotted out because they joined with idols (Hosea 4:17). More references are Amos 8:14, Deut. 29:20 and Leviticus 24:11. Dan is connected with the Antichrist in the Tribulation (Genesis 49:17).

Revelation 7:9 "After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen."

Gentile saints in the Tribulation

7:9 - This verse shows that there are Gentiles that are raptured because of the phrase "all nations". These are Gentiles in the third heaven that have white robes because of their own righteousness in the Tribulation (Revelation 6:11; 3:4, 18; 19:8). Comparing verses 9-17 with verses 4-8 shows that the Church will not go through the Tribulation. Verses 4-8 show a Jewish group and 9-17 show a Gentile group. People in the Church Age are not considered Jew or Gentile after salvation (1 Cor. 12:13, Galatians 3:27-28, Ephesians 2:12-19, 4:4). Also, the Jewish in verses 4-8 are called "virgins"(plural)(Revelation 14:4), while the Church Age saints are called a "chaste virgin"(singular) (2 Cor. 11:2).

7:10-12 - This scene takes place in the third heaven. We know this because the beasts and elders are there. In verse 12, you see the seven fold doxology again.

Revelation 7:13 "And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes."

In the Tribulation, salvation is by faith and works.

7:13-14 - These are the Tribulation saints. This is not the Christian because his white robes are his own righteousness that he earns AFTER he is saved. In verse 14, these people's robes are washed in the Blood, but not themselves like Christians are washed in the Blood (Revelation 1:4). The Great Tribulation is a time period after the Church Rapture and before the Second Coming (Matthew 24:21,29,30).

7:15 - This verse also proves that these people are not Church Age Christians because there is no temple in New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:22). These are raptured Tribulation saints that include Jews and Gentiles.

7:16 - This is to Israel in the Millennium. The cross references are Isaiah 25:8 and 49:10.

7:17 - This is the first time God says he will wipe away tears. The second place is found in Revelation 21:4, which is after the White Throne Judgment where the unsaved dead are judged (Revelation 20:11-15). This time the tears are wiped away at the end of the Tribulation and after the Judgment Seat of Christ, where Christian's works are judged. Our tears are not finally wiped away until after the White Throne Judgment. We will weep at the Judgment Seat of Christ because of lost rewards and the White Throne because of lost loved ones. There are tears in heaven, but not in Eternity, which is after all of this. As Christians, we will be like Christ in heaven, but realize that Jesus wept over sinners, so that does not mean we will not cry when we see our lost loved ones get thrown into the Lake of Fire.

Chapter 6

Revelation 6:1 "And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. 2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. 3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. 4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. 5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. 7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. 8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth."

Seals one, two, three and four are opened.

6:1 - Each time a seal opens an event takes place on earth. Revelation 6-19 records the Tribulation, which is also called the time of Jacob's trouble(Daniel 12, Jeremiah 30:7) and Daniel's Seventieth Week (Daniel 9). The Church is already raptured before the Tribulation. Most likely the first beast is the lion (Revelation 4:7).

6:2 - This rider is connected with Satan and is not Jesus Christ. This rider has a bow and one crown, while Jesus has a sword and many crowns (Revelation 19:12,15). Jesus is followed by the armies of God, while this rider is followed by Death and Hell (Revelation 19:14). Keep in mind that Satan has always imitated God.

6:3 - The calf is the second beast (Revelation 4:7).

6:4 - Notice that bloodshed follows the white horse rider proving that it is not Jesus Christ. There will be no peace until Jesus Christ comes to reign on this earth.

6:5 - The man is the third beast to open the third seal. Balances are used to measure the weight of food. Notice that famine follows.

6:6 - The food is measured out because it will be scarce in the Tribulation (Ezekiel 4:17). The oil and wine may show inflation (Job 24:11, Hosea 12:1).

6:7 - The eagle is the fourth beast.

6:8 - Death here is an angel that has the job to kill and Hell followed with him. Some say that things from Hell may be released at this time in the Tribulation. (Isaiah 28:15, Hebrews 2:14, Revelation 9:11, 2 Thes. 2:3, Jeremiah 14:12) The last part of the verse may show that the animals on the earth go mad and help kill.

Revelation 6:9 "And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. 12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; 13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind."

Seals five and six open.

6:9 - The altar is probably the brazen altar of sacrifice in verse 11 (Leviticus 1:4, Nehemiah 11:1, Isaiah 6:13). Some say it may be the altar of incense in Revelation 8:3,5. The people here are killed by getting their heads cut off (Revelation 11:9, 20:4).

6:10 - Cross references: Luke 18:7, Deut. 32:43. During the Tribulation the Antichrist will drink the blood of the Martyred, just like the Catholic Mass professes that they drink Jesus' literal blood (Psalms 16:4, Numbers 25:2). Notice the little "rock" in Deut. 32:31, Jesus is the Rock and Peter is the little rock that the Catholic church follows.

6:11 - Man has a body, soul and spirit (1 Thes. 5:23). Notice that a soul has a bodily shape that can wear a robe. Cross reference: Revelation 14:13

6:12-13 - These are the events that happen towards the end of the Tribulation before the Tribulation Rapture (Matthew 24:29, Luke 21:25, Mark 13:24-26, Acts 2:20). Many people are in error when they think these events will happen at the end of the Church Age. The stars in verse 13 are angels that come with the Dragon(Satan) (Revelation 1:20, 12:4).

Revelation 6:14 "And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. 15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?"

First account of the ending of the Tribulation period.

6:14 - Cross reference: Revelation 16:20

6:15 - Notice there are still slaves even in the Tribulation. Cross reference: Isaiah 24:21

6:16 - Notice that this is not the First Coming where Jesus died on the cross, rather the Second Coming when He comes in wrath.

6:17 - Like the Gospels give four accounts of the First Advent, Revelation gives four accounts of the Second Advent with the seals, trumpets, vials and activities of the Antichrist. So that is why you will see the Tribulation end throughout the book of Revelation.

Chapter 5

Revelation 5:1 "And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. 2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? 3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. 4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon."

The unopened, unknown book.

5:1-4 - This book is unknown, but some think that it may be the Bible or Book of Revelation. Old King James Bibles use to have seven seals down the spine and some still do. It could be the book of Revelation with seven seals every three chapters and chapter 22 on the back. No man can understand the Bible without the help of God (Luke 24:45).

Revelation 5:5 "And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. 6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. 7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. 8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints."

Jesus Christ, who is worthy opens the book.

5:5 - This verse is talking about Jesus Christ (Matthew 1:1, Romans 1:3). Jesus prevailed over the Devil in Luke 4, over the sins of the world at Calvary in Matthew 27 and at Gethsemane by getting back what Adam lost at the garden of Eden.

5:6-8 - Here Jesus is pictured as a literal lamb in heaven (John 1:29). Remember that God can manifest himself into anything. This verse shows us that Jesus Christ will bear the scars of the crucifixion in heaven. All will fall before the Lord Jesus Christ.

Revelation 5:9 "And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. 11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; 12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. 13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. 14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever."

All in heaven and earth give praise to the Lamb.

5:9 - "They" are the saints in verse 8. Notice they sing about the Blood and nothing else.

5:10 - This verse is a reference to the Second Advent, where the saints will reign with Jesus Christ on the earth.

5:11- One hundred million in number.

5:12 - Remember that the number seven is used over and over in the book of Revelation. Here you see a seven fold doxology.

5:13-14 - Even the animals give praise to God (Psalms 148:7,10). Remember that God used a donkey to speak in Numbers 22:27-30. A cross reference for the last part of the verse 13 would be Luke 19:38-40.

Chapter 4

Revelation 4:1 "After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. 2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne."

Type of the Pretribulation Rapture.

4:1 - A door opens in Revelation two times. This time someone goes up and in Revelation 19, someone comes down. Comparing this verse with 1 Thess. 4:15-18 will show the reader that this is clearly a type of the Pretribulation Rapture. Cross references: Proverbs 25:7 and Revelation 11:12.

4:2 - When John says that he is in the spirit, it is not like being in the Holy Spirit, rather a transformation into another time dimension (Revelation 1:10, 1 Cor. 15:49-52). This time John is brought to the third heaven. There are three heavens in scripture. The first heaven is the sky, second is outer space and third is where God is located (2 Cor. 12:1-4). We know that John is a type of the church because the church and himself are both called the beloved (John 13:23, Ephesians 1:6). Notice that the word "churches" ceases from now on in the book of Revelation. The Bible teaches three Raptures. The Rapture of the Old Testament saints at Christ's resurrection (First Fruits/Matthew 27:50-54, Ephesians 4:8-12). The Pretribulation Rapture of the Church (Harvest/1 Cor. 15:49-53, 1 Thess. 4:13-18). A Rapture at the end of the Tribulation for the Tribulation saints (Gleanings/Matthew 24 and Revelation 11). (1 Cor. 15:22-26)

Revelation 4:3 "And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. 4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. 5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. 6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. 7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. 8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. 9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, 10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."

John is shown a vision of the third heaven.

4:3-4 - The crowns show the Judgment Seat of Christ, while the white raiment shows the Marriage Supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19). The twenty-four elders represent saved people that are washed in the Blood and have rewards. The twenty-four elders may be the twelve Apostles and the twelve heads of the twelve tribes of Israel, but no one knows for sure (Psalms 107:32, 1 Chron. 24:1, 1 Peter 5:1, Exodus 3:18, Hebrews 11:12, Revelation 21:12,14). The third heaven can be found by looking to the North Star (Isaiah 14:13, Psalms 75:6).

4:5 - Cross reference: Isaiah 11:2

4:6 - The sea of glass is transparent. These four beasts are literal beasts in heaven called Cherubim and are also found in Ezekiel 1:6-10 and Ezekiel 10:1-22. These four represent four animal creations; domestic(ox or cow), wild(lion), flying(eagle) and man. In Ezekiel 28:14, there are five Cherubim, so there is one missing now. Satan was the fifth Cherub(not angel) before he fell and represented the reptile class of animals (Revelation 12:9).

4:7 - Each Cherub has a different face.

4:8 - Ezekiel 1:5-18 for more on the Cherubim. All four Cherub have feet like a calf and also have wings. Remember that angels do not have wings, but Cherubs do. The fifth Cherub was an ox with two horns (Ezekiel 1:10, 10:14). When Satan appears now, he *appears* as an angel of light (2 Cor. 11:11-14). The Trinity is also pictured in this verse by the three Holy's and Lord(Father), God(Son), Almighty(Holy Spirit).

4:9-10 - Cross references: Revelation 5:8, 14; 7:11; 11:16

4:11 - Notice that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Creator (John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:15-17, Hebrews 1:2). John sees God receive worship in heaven from the twenty-four elders and four beasts.

Chapter 3

Revelation 3:1 "And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. 4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. 5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. 6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches."

The Lord's message to the church in Sardis.

3:1 - This church period starts from 1,000 to 1,500 A.D. in the middle of the Dark Ages. This church is a spiritually dead church (Ephesians 5:14).

3:2-3 - These verses are doctrinally to the Tribulation (Revelation 16:15, Matthew 24-25), but can have spiritual application to the Church Age.

3:4 - White here symbolizes righteousness earned by works (Psalms 45, Revelation 3:18, 16:15). The robes here stand for good works(Revelation 19) by the Christian, who will be rewarded at the Judgment Seat of Christ (2 Cor. 5:1-10). These robes are different than the robes in Revelation 6 that are washed in the Blood of the Lamb.

3:5-6 - This is doctrinally to the Tribulation because the Christian has already overcame with Jesus Christ (1 John 4:4, 5:4). That being the case, for the Christian it is a promise that he will not be blotted out of the book of life. Two cross references for the book is Psalms 109:13 and Exodus 32:33.

Revelation 3:7 "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; 8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. 9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. 12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. 13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches."

The Lord's message to the church at Philadelphia.

3:7 - This period is from 1500-1900 A.D. Philadelphia means brotherly love. This is the best church concerning history. This church is the only church that is not told to repent.

3:8 - This church has an open door, but the next church, which is the Laodicean church will have a closed door (Revelation 3:20). This is the only church that is said to of kept God's word. This is when the King James Bible of 1611 is published and also when the Reformation took place.

3:9 - Just like in Smyrna there are also people in this period who claim to be Jews. These people are usually Postmillennial in doctrine like the Catholic church.

3:10 - James 5:11 and Mark 14:38 are cross reference for this verse.

3:11 - Rewards and crowns can be lost by having fellowship, helping or cooperating with people in false doctrine or the lost, such as the Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses (2 John 1:8).

3:12-13 - New Jerusalem is the home for the Church/Bride in Eternity (Revelation 21:2).

Revelation of John 3:14 "And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches."

The Lord's message to the church at Laodicea.

3:14 - Laodicea is that church period before the Rapture and means civil rights of the people, which matches perfectly for today. The period last from 1900 to the Rapture of the Church. In the verse creation is the object, not Jesus Christ because He is the beginning of everything God does.

3:15 - The Laodicean period professes to orthodox, but is also apostate and worldly.

3:16-17 - This church brags about its earthly riches, but is spiritually poor and not concerned about death. Historically, this church started off good according to Paul (Colossians 4:13).

3:18 - Cross references: Psalms 12:6, 1 Peter 1:7, Eccl. 9:8, Revelation 16:5, John 9:8 and 2 Cor. 5:3.

3:19-20 - This is the only church spoken of as a literal building. In this period, the door is just on Christ and it is the person's choice to open the door to have fellowship with God.

3:21-22 - The message to the seven churches is over. Remember that historically, these churches are seven churches in Asia Minor in John's time. Spiritually, these churches refer to history from the book of Acts to the Rapture. Doctrinally, these churches will be churches in the Tribulation.

Chapter 2

Revelation 2:1 "Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; 2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: 3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. 4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. 6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. 7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God."

The Lord's message to the church at Ephesus.

2:1 - The message is to the angel of the church of Ephesus. Things on earth have a representative in heaven(Daniel 8-11). So God is talking to an angel in heaven that represents this church. Remember that this church spiritually represents the Apostolic Church period during 33-300 A.D. It is called the Apostolic church period because it starts with the Apostles. Ephesus means fully purposed.

2:2 - The early Apostolic church period could tell who were Apostles and who were not (Mark 16:17-18, 2 Cor. 12:12). They are intolerant against the people who lied and professed to be something that they were not. They tried things with the scriptures.

2:3 - The church had patience in tribulation and also the right motive, which is to do everything for Christ.

2:4 - This church was sound on it's doctrine, but was ritualistic, which is why it was said to leave it's first love. This also applies to Christians that get ritualistic with Christ instead of the way they were when they first got saved, and marriages are the same way. Cross reference: Jeremiah 2:2.

2:5 - God warns the church that he will remove it(candlestick) if it does not repent of it's faults. "From whence thou art fallen" has nothing to do with a Christian, nor falling from grace.

2:6 - Nicolaitians is a Greek transliteration that means conquer the common people. Pastors rule spiritually, but no one is to conquer another class of Christians. Keep in mind that God hates things (Psalms 5:5).

2:7 - As Christians we do not have to overcome because we already have through Jesus Christ (1 John 4:4, 1 John 5:4, Romans 8:37). Doctrinally, this verse applies to someone in the Tribulation or Millennium because the tree of life is connected with works. Christians do not partake of the tree of life, rather nations (Revelation 22:2). Christians do not need to eat of the tree of life because we already have eternal life through Jesus Christ. The word paradise in this verse is the same thing as heaven.

Revelation 2:8 "And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; 9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. 10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. 11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death."

The Lord's message to the church of Smyrna.

2:8 - Smyrna means myrrh, which is connected with death. This church is said to be the Persecuted/Martyred church period during 200-325 A.D. This is the period where Rome killed thousands of Christians.

2:9 - Some of the church leaders in this group claimed to have Jewish Apostolic signs, but were liars. The closest thing that we have to this today is the Amillennialists and Postmillennialists that take away the promises of the Jews regarding end time prophecy. These two groups falsely believe that the Church has replaced Israel and the Christian has replaced the Jew. Contrast this verse with Revelation 3:17 concerning being rich and poor. One can be rich, but spiritually poor and one can be poor on the earth, but rich in heaven.

2:10 - The Crown of Life is a reward given to those who are faithful unto death, but it has nothing to do with salvation. As Christians we are kept by God and eternally secure (1 Cor. 1:7-9). Cross reference the first half of the verse with Matthew 10:28.

2:11 - The Lake of Fire is the Second Death. Remember that Christians do not have to worry about this because they are eternally secure and have already overcome through Jesus Christ.

Revelation 2:12 "And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; 13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. 14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. 15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. 16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. 17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it."

The Lord's message to the church at Pergamos.

2:12 - Pergamos is the church period during 325-550 A.D. that is called the Imperial Church. This period in time has the rise of the Catholic church and Dark Ages. Pergamos mean much marriage and this church is said to join itself with the world. The sword in the last part of the verse is defined as the word of God in Ephesians 6:17 and Hebrews 4:12.

2:13 - This church is said to dwell where the Devil dwells. The Catholics murder tons of Christians in this period. The name Antipas means "Against All". This man was probably like Martin Luther, who was against all during his time. Tradition says that Antipas was put in a hollow golden calf and burnt alive because he would not deny his faith.

2:14 - The doctrine of Balaam is found in Numbers 22-25. Fornication is part of the worship of these people. Cross references about Balaam are 2 Peter 2:15 and Jude 1:11.

2:15 - Cross reference: Revelation 2:6.

2:16-17 - Spiritually, a Christian can say that Jesus is the stone and we are in Him. We have a white stone, instead of a black stone because we are forgiven by the Blood and we have a new name in Christ.

Revelation 2:18 "And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; 19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. 20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. 22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. 23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. 24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. 25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. 26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. 28 And I will give him the morning star. 29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches."

The Lord's message to the church at Thyatira.

2:18 - Thyatira means odor of affliction. This church period is called the Medieval church and is from 500-1000 A.D. The Body of Christ is persecuted by the Catholic church like never before during this period. The cross reference for the last part of the verse is Revelation 1:14-15.

2:19 - This church has left its first love and works.

2:20 - The church left their first love and works because of Jezebel. She is figurative and a reference to the Jezebel in 1 and 2 Kings. She is connected with the queen of heaven, Catholics, idol worship and the worship of Baal. Fornication as a form of worship (1 Samuel 2:22, 1 Kings 15:12, Isaiah 57:3-8).

2:21 - Cross reference: Jeremiah 51:9

2:22 - The ones who hang around her are commanded to repent. (Revelation 18:1-8)

2:23 - If applied to the Church Age, this verse can refer to Europe's Black Death.

2:24 - Catholics are a type of Baal worshippers. Ignorance is not innocence for those who do not study the Book.

2:25-29 - Shivers means splinters. A reference to the rod of iron in found in Revelation 12:3-6. The morning star is Jesus Christ (Revelation 22:16).
